Polish expedition to Lhotse 1985. Organized by the Mountaineering Club from Katowice under the direction of Janusz Majer. The participants of the expedition were climbing the new route along the southern face of Lhotse (8511 m above sea level) and reached the height of approx. 8200 m above sea level. Resignation from further mountain activities was caused by the death of Rafał Chołda and unfavorable weather conditions.
