    An expedition to the Southern Alps organized by the Mountaineering Club in Katowice in 1981 under the leadership of Ryszard Warecki. During the expedition, the following climbing goals were achieved: Mount Cook along the east ridge and the central pillar, Mount Dixon along the east ridge, Malte Brun in the middle of the southwest face and the right side of the west face, Mount Barrier in the middle of the south face, Mount Macpershon along the southeast face and a traverse of the Mount Hicks ridge and Mount Dampier ridges to Green Saddle.
