Polish expedition to K2 1982. Expedition leader Wanda Rutkiewicz. On July 30 1982 Wojciech Kurtyka and Jerzy Kukuczka climbed the Broad Peak summit by a classic route with alpine style (illegal ascent as part of acclimatization before the attack on the southern face of K2).
