Polish expedition to Gasherbrum II and Gasherbrum I 1983 under the leadership of Wojciech Kurtyka. Jerzy Kukuczka and Wojciech Kurtyka climbed Gasherbrum II (8035 m above sea level) on July 1, 1983 and Gasherbrum I (8080 m above sea level) on July 23, 1983 through the south-west wall (first Poles on the summit). Both peaks with new roads, alpine style.
